The years to come are a blank slate, and the well intention advice of people can blur the bigger picture rather than clarify the question every student has to face near the end of their high school years, “What next?”

Kestrel Karachi: Application Cycle 2019-20

It is here that Kestrel plays a crucial role in the turning point of a student’s career. Through rigorous training, the staff at Kestrel has honed the ability to gauge student abilities and accordingly guide them on their journey of finding their ideal university.
With pinpoint accuracy, the staff is able to unclutter profiles in order to bring out the hidden potential within every student.

We at Kestrel are with the students every step of the way, from the introduction that highlights all the opportunities that they can capitalize upon to all the counseling sessions where they are giving one on one attention from the mentors.

Through the initial meeting with the students, we work to build a clear mental picture of the student’s innate talents and capabilities. Once this process is complete, we are then able to move onto the next step of university counseling, which is to help the students build a portfolio of activities that will make them shine among the plethora of candidates aiming for the best universities in USA, Canada and the UK.

Kestrel Lahore: Gearing up for 2019 RD cycle

Each counseling session allows us a deeper insight into the student, so that we are able to design the ideal pathway for them while also giving them an opportunity to have absolute clarity and control over their application process. With the eventual career
goals of the students as the focal point, we use our keen intuition and understanding of the application process to safeguard the dreams of students. The mentors begin with helping the students identify which organizations or projects they should invest their time in and ensuring that they gain every advantage in achieving their extracurricular goals.

We employ two distinct methods for college counseling to help the students navigate various aspects in their quest to study abroad – the NEST Educational Series (NES) and the Reflective Educational Series (RES).

NEST Educational Series (NES) is focused on giving the students structured activities to experience not only a foreign environment, but also build upon their extracurricular goals. Each trip and activity is designed to utilize the time the students invest to the fullest. When the travels begin, the students are strangers to each other; that is where Kestrel steps in, using ice breakers in order to teach the students ways to bond with people in foreign settings. This invaluable experience ensures that these very individuals will not feel like fish out of water when they eventually reach their desired universities. The itinerary of the series keeps the students constantly engaged, and this interactive session enlightens students on how to thrive in a contrasting environment.

Furthermore, with the presence of previous Kestrel students, the future aspirants are able to learn about the intricacies of the application, from what approaches to take while writing their essays to what resources will aid them in studying for their SAT.

Our Reflective Series (RES), on the other hand, allows the students to be able to tell their stories in the most optimal light. We propel the student on an introspective journey, exploring all the facets of his or her life in order to discover their unique signature. This course of action gives the student the freedom to dive into his or her sea of creativity and build waves that will amaze the universities that the students opt for.

Once this process has been complete, we move onto the next step which is identifying the ideal universities for ED/EA or regular decision. Working collaboratively with the students for their career counseling, we construct a list of universities where the student will thrive at based on their strengths and goals, and assist them in fulfilling all the requirements that are unique to each university.

By becoming the lanterns that guide the students on their journey towards greater heights, we at Kestrel strive to provide a holistic and integrative application experience and hope to bring a brighter future to students who have the potential to become the future change-makers of the world.
